Service Notice, September 2nd, 9:30 pm: Due to the closure of the hurricane barrier in New Bedford Harbor the only four trips operating on Friday September 3, will be 6:30am departure from New Bedford to VH & the 9:30am departure from New Bedford to OB, and 8:00am departure from Vineyard Haven to New Bedford and the 10:50am departure from Oak Bluffs to New Bedford. Wind and wave conditions are not the issue here. It's the closure of the City's harbor barrier, necessary when extraordinary high tide surges are expected. We will update you as conditions change. |
